07/13/2020 Guy going ham on a cello

The Arkansas summer is in full swing. Full sweat too.

And we actually spent a sizable amount of time outside. One day we went street contacting down one of the city walking paths. It was very refreshing to talk to strangers about Jesus Christ on a blisteringly hot day.
Not even kidding. We had some great conversations. One guy said he was into bronze casting and making statues. He then invited us to see them and my expectations were blown completely away. One of his bronze casts was absolutely incredible.

Also on Saturday, we participated in filming a sweet video for the Facebook page. It's a street interview style video in downtown Hot Springs. It was about how people find peace. Don't worry! I wore a mask the whole time. There is going to be a lot of editing involved so don't expect to see it for a little bit. We got a bunch of responses, some of them super deep and meaningful. It was so refreshing again to hear the insights of people from all over with very different backgrounds. We also had at least two guitar performances.
Elder Probst and I primarily answered questions from people while others did the videoing. I had to confound a guy who kept on ragging on us for wearing white shirts and ties.

Also, we went up to Little Rock on Thursday for a meeting and before we wanted to go to dinner with one of our friends who is staying in Little Rock for the month. We had an hour and Cracker Barrel was saying their wait time was not long. So we went to Cracker Barrel.
We ordered.
Then talked...
Then waited....
Then talked..
And we got our food at 7:20, ten minutes before our meeting. So immediately when we got it we asked for to go boxes and the ticket and jetted out of there and had to leave our friend to eat alone.
Sometimes the best we can do is try.

Pictures
1) Here's a mission tradition: railroad pictures. I went to the next level and pulled out a railroad spike.

2) This is the gnarly statue the guy bronze casted. Gotta get me one of these.

3) Our street interview group. Our district plus the technology specialist elders who brought their fancy equipment
