05/11/2020 Gathering in one all things in the ALRM

Over the course of these last few days, the mission has increased in size, gaining 60 or so missionaries that have been reassigned. Represented in our zone alone we have missionaries who served in Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, and even Kiribati (which I learned is pronounced more like "kittybest," which is not even close to what it looks like. Before learning how to spell it we had a heck of a time looking it up on Google Maps). We're excited to work with them and see what cool things they can bring to the table of missionary work here in Arkansas.

Other than that significant change, our schedule has been pretty regular. We have, for the first time, been able to stick to an example self-isolation schedule since it was given. Usually zone leader stuff gets in the way, but this week it was surprisingly calm. For the first time in over 3 weeks we were able to do an hour of family history. I found out I am 1st cousins 8 times removed from Abraham Lincoln. Now I ask of you, if we are that closely related, why didn't I get his height?

The district is pretty cool this transfer. Its us two and six sisters. We're calling it the Relief Society District from now on. There are also more sisters than elders in the zone, so we are now the Elder Training Leaders and the Sister Training Leaders are now the Zone Leaders. It's about time we made that switch!

We have had some cool lessons this week as well. The overarching theme of them has been the necessity to pray and invite the spirit into our studies of scripture. That guidance of the spirit is what can make scripture study personal for you. Praying before studies is definitely not something I did before my mission. It's for sure something I gained a testimony of while being out here.

Hope all you mothers had a fantastic mothers day! If you haven't been able to see it yet, the facebook page we run for Little Rock had a mothers day devotional yesterday. Check it out!

2) we went to Dirt Cheap last District P Day after a hike and they were selling this "surprise toy" box, and included was a stuffed animal sloth and a plastic hatchet. I do not claim to know why.
