02/03/2020 And we've got a pelican

Greeting, folks. Another week has come and gone. Same with the month. Januaries always seem like a long month. Maybe because Decembers seem to go by super quickly in the mission.

We had a cool experience with a man named Robert. We were trying to contact someone else we are teaching, but the contact fell through. We saw his next door neighbor walking into the house. For whatever reason we didnt go up and try to talk to him, and instead walked around downtown Bryant. After about 30 minutes of walking around and knocking doors, we find ourselves at a gas station, and guess who is in the gas station parking lot: the guy who we saw going into his house earlier. We talk to him and he is really searching for faith and hope at this time! Really cool miracle of second chances. We didnt take the opportunity to reach out to him the first time, but God provided a way where we'd see him again.

This is the last week of the transfer so we'll see what happens next week!

1) we and the sister missionaries helped a young family in the ward move. We cleaned up the garage. In the garage was a deflated parrot pool floaty. The sister said she did not want it and if we wanted it, we could take it. How could we resist?! The lady who was moving in to the house came to check out the house and kept calling it a pelican, so that's its name now: pelican the parrot.

 2) our zone from the last zone Conference in January.

3) we found this lake driving down in the boonies. There's a shooting range in very close proximity, so just imagine the constant firing of guns when you look at this picture

4) the pelican has found his spot in the apartment.
